# Update your profile

Open your user menu and select **My Profile**.

## What you can review

- Your display name and personal contact information.
- Emergency-contact information.
- Whether eligible directory users may see your email or phone number.
- Notification preferences offered by your account.

## Directory privacy

Your visibility preferences affect what other eligible VBC users can see in the
Directory. They do not make your account public on the internet.

## Email-address corrections

Your sign-in email is part of your account identity. If it is wrong, contact
your property manager, board, or VBC support instead of creating a second
account.
